Update:  September celebrations added to the list!
Sylvania Cookbook

August 2018: The Sylvania community always enjoys an opportunity to celebrate and honor those first responders who keep Sylvania City & Township such a safe, secure, and comfortable place to live, work, and play.   This summer, as the fire department announced work anniversaries, many residents took note.  So now we take this opportunity to say "Congratulations!" and "Thank you!" to the members of the Sylvania FIRE EMS.

"The longevity of our members is a testament to the support our community provides to the fire department, to the management of the fire department (they want to stay here to work), and it shows the dedication of our employees to our community,"  offered Deputy Chief Mike Froelich in a statement today.  see Deputy Chief Froelich below

Sylvania FIRE EMS currently has fifty-nine firefighters on the line with one more authorized to be hired in September.  Four are part-time (with seven more to be hired soon), there are three chief officers, two administrative assistants, one fire safety inspector and one Captain of Training.

Below are recent work anniversaries celebrated by the firefighters.
