Lourdes offers tuition discount to Sylvania Schools Employees
Lourdes Advantage Partnership Strengthens Town & Gown Relationship

Lourdes University and Sylvania Schools are pleased to announce a new Lourdes Advantage Partnership which offers scholarships to Sylvania Schools employees who enroll in a Lourdes undergraduate or graduate degree program, effective summer 2020.

Sylvania Schools educators and employees who enroll as new Lourdes University students are guaranteed a 15 percent tuition discount. Lourdes alumni who work in the Sylvania Schools and enroll in a Lourdes degree program will benefit from a 20 percent tuition discount.


Lourdes University President Mary Ann Gawelek and Sylvania Schools Superintendent Jane Spurgeon will sign the Lourdes Advantage Partnership on Friday, February 21 at 9 am in the Zimpfer Conference Room at the Sylvania Schools Administrative Building, 4747 N. Holland Sylvania Road, in Sylvania. Sylvania Schools representatives at the event are Tim Zieroff, Assistant Superintendent of Academic Affairs, and Alex Clarkson, Director of Teaching & Learning. Lourdes University representatives attending are Terry Keller, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Vince Laverick, Education Division Chair; Joyce Little, Dean of Social Sciences, and Dale Gaubatz, Vice President of Enrollment.


“This partnership strengthens the Town & Gown Relationship Lourdes has with our hometown Sylvania.  This collaboration is a win for Sylvania, its citizens and our educational institutions. Working together, Sylvania Schools and Lourdes University are providing an excellent education to professionals who are preparing learners today and in the future,” says Lourdes President Mary Ann Gawelek.
