Commencement Ceremony
On Saturday, December 12 at 9:30am, Lourdes University President Dr. Mary Ann Gawelek will confer associate, bachelor and graduate degrees outside of the Franciscan Center, 6737 Convent Blvd., in Sylvania. Retired Vice President of Mission and Ministry Sister Ann Carmen Barone, OSF, will receive an honorary doctoral degree.
This year’s Commencement celebration will take place drive-thru style. Each graduate will come to commencement at an appointed time, collect their diploma from President Mary Ann Gawelek, and have their photo taken before the next graduate is able to drive up. 122 graduates will receive their degrees including husband and wife Matthew and Doreen Onyekelu. Doreen and Matthew will graduate from the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. More than half plan to drive-thru and receive their diploma.
