It will be the grand finale of a dynamic one-hour concert. Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 is a masterpiece, and the piano concerto that Beethoven admired above all others. It’s demonic power and dark beauty speaks to people of all ages and times.

In addition, the orchestra will play The Merry Wives of Windsor overture by Otto Nicolai. This sparking and vivacious work opens The Merry Wives of Windsor opera, that was based on Shakespeare’s comedy Falstaff.  They will also play Shubert’s Symphony No. 9. This monumental work has expansive themes, an energetic pace and grand climax.

The Sylvania Community Orchestra engages hundreds of community members with three free concerts each year. It is made up of over 65 volunteer musicians who practice weekly during the season and donate their time to share their love of classical music.
