JNP President John Nittolo announced the cancellation of Sylvania's concert series at Centennial Terrace on May 6, 2020. (see release below)

Nittolo said that he had been waiting for May 1, to see what Governor DeWine announced and what the the State of Ohio was going to do.  After that he consulted with those involved with the Sylvania concerts for several days, and the announcement was released Wednesday morning (May 6).

"The concert industry is going to be affected on a large scale, there are hundreds of thousands of employees impacted around the world.  It's sad," Nittolo explained when asked about the impact COVID-19 was having on the artists and the concert business.

"This isn't just about Sylvania.  There's a lot of people and a lot of moving parts," Nittolo added.  "You have to do the right thing. "

Centennial Terrace, 5773 Centennial RD, Sylvania, Ohio

FOR RELEASE May 4, 2020

With the COVID -19 pandemic continuing to evolve unpredictably and in accordance with state guidance on large gatherings, Sylvania Recreation and JNP Concerts are deeply saddened to announce that Centennial Terrace Concert Series 2020 will be cancelled this summer.

Together with Sylvania’s local leaders and Governor Mike DeWine, we have concluded that at this time we risk too much in having a gathering of our size venue. As difficult as it is to write this, it’s balanced with a renewed sense of confidence that we will prevail. Centennial Terrace has been serving the community and surrounding towns with concerts and special events since 1930. This year would have been the venues 81st season.

This Venue is truly one of the most unique concert venues in the State of Ohio, and I believe we will emerge from this adversity stronger and more connective as soon as we have better health and safety guidelines for our patrons.

All ticket holders will be refunded at POINT OF PURCHASE ONLY. Ticket holders who purchased tickets online at etix will automatically be issued credit which takes 7-10 days to appear on your credit card.

Any tickets purchased at the Stranahan Theater, please note that the box office is closed until May 12 per the Governors reopening phase of the State of Ohio. Tickets will be refunded in a timely manner. Please be patient. Everyone is doing the best they can under these unusual circumstances. Stranahan Theater lobby will have limited access with the 6 feet distance This announcement includes The Temptations & The Four Tops, The Beach Boys, STYX, Get The Led Out and The Happy Together Tour
